Scarecrow Card

I think this card is so darn cute!! I case'd it from http://flowerbug.typepad.com/my_weblog/.
I just think it is one of the cutest cards made out of punches.

The kids were out of school today and since I had a card class last night - I was pretty tired - so we just "hung" out today and didn't do much. Tomorrow Parker has a football game at 9:00 a.m. so we will be up bright and early. After the game we may take a drive up in the mountains to see the aspens - I hope we haven't missed them changing color! If I get any good pics I will be sure and share them with you. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

ALERT!! Cute Teacher Gift Ahead....

I'm making these for the boys' teachers and a few other special people. Its basically a matchbook card with a belly band. I case'd this idea and cannot for the life of me remember where - so if its you please let me know - I want to give credit where credit is due. If you would like the directions leave me a comment and I will send them to you. I'm also thinking these would make cute halloween gifts - just using halloween paper and colors, hmmmmm....
Okay - I found the post - whew!!! For the above project I case'd from Mickey at http://mickeysplace.typepad.com/stamping_with_the_stars/. Very Cute!!

OMG! Its Snowing!! Sept 21st

Can you believe it? I'm in shock! Yesterday it was in the 80's - right now it is 36 degrees! Usually we don't get our first snowfall until late October. I can't imagine what the mountains are getting right now! If this is any indication of what winter holds - we better hold on tight!!

A Couple More Cards...

Like I promised yesterday, here are some more cards. The first two are a case from my upline, Cindy, you can see her blog here . We are making these today in my classes. I love the one with Happy Birthday in Melon Mambo - I consider that a "summer" card and it will probably be the last "summery" card this year. :( But on to bigger and better things right? Fall, halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas are all just right around the corner. Lots to get ready for! The third card is made also by Cindy - I received it from a swap we had a couple of nights ago. Love the skeleton and the bat!

October 3rd is National Card Making Day - there is a day for everything isn't there? I'm going to have an open house where you can drop in and make a free card. I will have a display board up with various Christmas Cards that you can make. You can pick out the design that you want - I will have various prices listed - I will order the supplies and cut your card stock for you. I will set up an evening where you can come and make it at my house or if you prefer, you can pick up your supplies and take them home to make.

October 8th is our next regular card making class which will focus alot on Halloween. Hope to see everybody then. Have a great day!

Card Class Tomorrow

Hi Everyone!

Yes, I'm getting ready for my class tomorrow but thought I would show some of my cards with you today.

I think this is a fun card to make with your kids - very easy! It has a treat cup which you can put some candies in and give away to their friends.

This card is just a good fall card which I cased from my upline Cindy Russell- just makes me think of the cooler nights and of the leaves starting to change colors.

This card is also a fall card but it is called a tri-shutter card because of the way it opens up.

I've got a couple more cards to share with you but will wait until tomorrow.....

Fall is in the air....

It is definitely starting to cool down in the evenings here. Last night Parker had football practice and by the end of it I was wishing I had a jacket!

Isn't the pumpkin cute? It is made out of scalloped ovals - you can see the tutorial here http://happileighscrappin.blogspot.com.

Well, I'm off to the kids schools - its time for Thursday folders. Hope you guys have a great day!

Waterton Canyon

Today Jason and I went on a bike ride in Waterton Canyon. Yes, I know that may surprise some who know me and my athletic abilities. They have a dirt road that runs right along the Platte river. Jason took his fly fishing pole and we stopped a couple of times to let him fish. It was a great day for being outside. While we were riding down this road we ran into a herd of big horn sheep - I guess they are used to people because they did not run - in fact one came right up and started licking on people! Funny!

<
Can you see the BH sheep? There were several babies.

Halloween is right around the corner....

Are these not the cutest little boxes ever? I case'd these from Dream, Create & Share and you can view her blog http://dreamcreateandshare.blogspot.com/ for the complete tutorial.
We will probably be making these in class very soon. If you are out of town and would like to make these please contact me and I can put together a pack for you to assemble at home. My email is leann.anderson@yahoo.com.
Thanks for stopping by!!

Holiday Mini-Swaps

I just have to share some of the swaps I got from fellow demostrators. Every time a new catalog is released the demo's sign up for a stamp set and create a card or 3-d items using that stamp set. This allows us to have an example of (almost) every set that is in the new catalog without actually having to buy it. Of course, once we get the samples we want every stamp set anyway.

Kim Stark did the above card with Autumn Splendor - beautiful!!

My upline, Cindy Russell, did the card to the left. I love the colors -she used Wandering Words.

Another cute card using the Sweet Centers Stamp set and cups by Keri Young.

This last one is a treat box Cast-a-Spell designer series paper by Jill Kelley.

Great job girls!

1st NFL Game

Yes, this was my first time to see an actual NFL game in person. It was SO much FUN! The weather was great, the seats were great and we just had a fantastic time - and this was just a pre-season game! I told Jason that when he got tickets he would have to take the boys - I like football but not a die-hard fan. I thought the boys would enjoy it much more than I would. I may have to rethink that decision. Anyway - have to share some pics with you.
